Model behaviour: Carla Bruni-Sarkozy filmed her cameo role in new Woody Allen movie Midnight In Paris inn the French capital this morning
She’s already been through several career changes including supermodel, singer-songwriter, and more recently, the First Lady of France.
But now Carla Bruni-Sarkozy has turned her hand to acting.
The 42-year-old Italian born model shot her cameo role in new Woody Allen film Midnight In Paris this morning.
Bruni-Sarkozy, who is married to French president Nicholas Sarkozy, filmed her scenes in the comedy alongside Owen Wilson on a busy Parisian street near the Pantheon.
Despite sporting a low key casual outfit of white blouse and jeans, Carla looked stunning with minimal makeup and her hair swept back.
‘Carla and Woody got along incredibly well on the set,’ a source told People.com.
Actress in training: A night scene being filmed
‘They talked constantly and laughed quite a lot between takes. Owen as well.’
The model’s first day involved five hours of shooting with several takes of the same scene.
‘They must have shot the same set up, where she walks along holding a baguette in her hand going into a supermarket around 32 times,’ the source added
Relaxed: Bruni-Sarkozy laughed and joked with her co-stars despite the challenge of her first acting role

Allen met with Bruni-Sarkozy and her husband last summer at the Elysées Palace to discuss the cameo role.
Told mainly in flashbacks, Midnight In Paris is set in the 1920s jazz-age period and also stars Oscar winners Marion Cotillard and Adrian Brody.
Bruni-Sarkozy will play the director of a Paris museum with Cotillard starring as her subordinate.
‘Carla has a tiny role in the film,’ a source close to her told the website. ‘In any case, she won't be stealing the spotlight from the other actors.’
Opportunity of a lifetime: Bruni-Sarkozy said the chance to work alongside the famous director was too good to miss
Bruni-Sarkozy has said she accepted the role in order to work with Allen.
‘I go into everything blindly, or I'd never do anything at all,’ she told French TV network Canal Plus back in November.
‘I am not an actress at all. Maybe I'll be completely hopeless, but I can't miss an opportunity like this one in my life. When I'm a grandmother, I'd like to be able to say I made a film with Woody Allen.’
She is expected to do another half-day of shooting with Cotillard before joining her husband on holiday.
