Singing the blues away: Charlotte Church seemed to be putting her split from Gavin Henson behind her as she performed with a friend last night
Charlotte Church seemed to be putting the strain of the past few months behind her as she took to the stage with a friend for an impromptu gig last night.
The Voice of an Angel star, who was initially watching the set from the audience, clambered up on stage barefoot, much to the delight of family and friends.
The star, 24, threw herself into her performance and appeared to be singing the blues away as she serenaded the audience.

Wearing black skinny jeans and a black and white geometric patterned top, the singer looked relaxed as she joined friend and local barman Jonathan Powell for the low-key gig in Cardiff.
It is understood Charlotte is writing songs with Jonathan for a forthcoming album and the singer gave friends and family a sneak preview, singing three songs from the project.
Charlotte split from rugby player Gavin Henson in May - six weeks after announcing their engagement.

The star recently moved into a new home with her and their two children, Ruby, two, and Dexter, 17 months.
Wanting to make a fresh start for herself, Charlotte put up for sale the £1.2million mansion in St Bride's Major, Wales, that she and Henson had lived in.
Last week she moved into a £1.3m six-bedroom house in a quiet village of Dinas Powys, South Glamorgan, a dozen miles away from the marital home and just five miles from Cardiff.
