But it seems the similarities between Christine Bleakley and Alex Jones, her replacement on The One Show, don’t end there.
Just like her predecessor, Miss Jones, 32, may be starting to regret posing for a series of risque photos as she tried to make a name for herself on Welsh television.
In one of the shots, taken six years ago, Miss Jones strikes a sassy pose in a short black skirt and fishnet tights.
In another, she smiles for the camera wearing heavy make-up and a low-cut top.
A further shot shows her suggestively licking an ice cream while on a photo shoot in Barry Island.
It also emerged that she posed nude for a 2005 calendar to raise money for an autism charity.
Miss Bleakley faced similar embarrassment earlier this year when a series of vampish photographs emerged from her days as an up-and-coming presenter in Belfast.
As Miss Jones’s August 16 start on The One Show sofa with Jason Manford looms closer, she may be even more red-faced over the revelation that she recently claimed she had no ambition to leave Wales for London.
She told an interviewer in February that it would be ‘a move across, not a move up’.
She added: ‘I think I’d be an even bigger worrier if I moved to London. To be honest, it’s never been a huge ambition of mine.’
