Hood-wigged: Anne's new short do set tongues wagging that she had shorn off her long locks. Her rep has now revealed that she's actually wearing a wig
Raven beauty Anne Hathaway has debuted her new short pixie cut while filming her new movie in France.
The actress looked the image of Audrey Hepburn as she walked the streets of Paris.
But alas, her representative has confirmed that the new shorn look is nothing other than movie magic and is actually a well-placed wig.
Anne is currently filming new romantic comedy One Day with co-star Jim Sturgess.
The Devil Wears Prada star is known for her long flowing locks and fans were stunned when they saw her new 'do.
Hathaway decided not to suffer for her art and go the method-acting route but to cheat instead and keep her the length of her own hair.
Boyish: Anne's new pixie cut is as short as her co-star's Jim Sturgess. They're filming a new romantic comedy in Paris called One Day
As beautiful as the Oscar-winner is she has admitted that she is insecure about her looks.
'I think I've got really weird features.. I have very large features on a very small head.
'You know, I'm not going to beat myself up. I look like myself, and I think at the end of the day, as nice as pretty is, authenticity is more important.'

Anne's star is continuing to rise in Tinseltown and she's just topped Forbes' list of Hollywood's most profitable stars.
They calculate this list by looking at the money studios have spent to hire actors and which stars have had the largest rate of return at the box office.
Hathaway's earning power was helped by the billion-dollar boost from Disney's blockbuster hit Alice in Wonderland.
The film's huge gross pushed the starlet's rate of return to $64 for every dollar spent on her salary.
Worth every penny: Shia LaBeouf tops Forbes List of actors who give the best bang for their buck. Anne Hathaway came in at number 2
Also topping the list for the second year running was Shia LaBeouf. Studios earned an average of $81 in profit for every dollar spent on his wages.
British actor Daniel Radcliffe came in at No. 3 and Robert Downey Jr was 4th on the list.
Despite her recent box office failings, Jennifer Aniston was 6th on the list with a $21 return for each dollar spent on the actress.
