Going gaga: Samia Smith smiles as she bounces her baby daughter Freya on her knee while out for lunch in Cheshire yesterday
A smiling Samia Smith shows how motherhood suits her well as she takes her baby daughter for a family day out in the sunshine.
The Coronation Street star was spotted looking very smiley as she doted over eight-month-old Freya while out at lunch.
Following her maternity leave, Samia, 27, returned to the cobbles last week as Maria Connor in dramatic scenes which saw her murderous ex Tony Gordon (Gary O'Brien) hold her hostage in the factory.
But yesterday - joined by her mother for lunch in Alderley Edge, Cheshire - was a case of domestic bliss as she cooed over Freya, who was wearing a cute sun hat, and bounced her on her knee.
The actress who has been married to property developer Matt, 34, for five years, recently revealed she is loving being a working mother.
Speaking of her return to the ITV soap she told heat magazine: 'It's lovely. After ten minutes it didn't feel like I'd had a break at all. In a good way.'
Samia managed to regain her svelte figure three months after giving birth last October with a self-devised health regime.

The 5ft 2in star gained 2st while pregnant, but is now back to 7st 7lb, which is a healthy weight for her height.
A slim size eight, the soap star insists she eats a balanced diet and says she's maintained her weight by healthy eating, walking and Pilates.
She told Closer magazine: 'I love my flat tummy. But my boobs have all but disappeared!'

Samia had her first child just four months after her character gave birth to baby Liam in typically dramatic soap fashion on a beach.
In the run up to her real birth, Samia had to hide her expanding bump on-screen with cupboard doors, baggy clothes and cushions.
The actress and her husband announced they were expecting in April last year, just days after her father Joseph Ghadie lost his battle with cancer.
Samia's real-life pregnancy and her two on-screen pregnancies meant she has spent most of the past two years with a baby bump - both real and fake.
