Road hog: Forest Whitaker shoots scenes for his upcoming TV show Criminal Minds: Suspect Behaviour in Los Angeles yesterday
He has played a member of law enforcement in no less than eight of his previous roles throughout his career.
So it seems that Forest Whitaker will be at home in his new role as Agent Sam Cooper in Criminal Minds: Suspect Behaviour, a spin-off of the original award winning show Criminal Minds.
The 49-year-old Oscar winning actor was shooting scenes for the upcoming show in Los Angeles yesterday and it appears his character has a thing for motorbikes and leathers.
The Last King of Scotland star was filmed riding a classic Harley Davidson motorcycle during scenes for the crime drama, which will follow Agent Cooper as he solves serial murders as part of the Behavioural Analysis Unit of the FBI.
The show also stars Janeane Garofalo, Kirsten Vangsness, Beau Garrett and Richard Schiff and is a direct spin off of the highly successful Criminal Minds, which premiered in 2005.
The cast of the new show were initially introduced to audiences through an April 2010 episode of the old show when the new cast partnered with the original BAU team to capture a San Francisco serial killer.
This tactic of introducing a spin-off is called a Backdoor Pilot and was used to introduce many popular shows including Law and Order: SVU, CSI: Miami and NCIS: Los Angeles.
The show is due to hit screens in 2011.
Ideal cop: The Oscar winner is comfortable playing an FBI agent having played law enforcement in eight previous roles
