Kerry Katona has treatment to remove tattoo... and erase Mark Croft from her life

Kerry Katona has begun the process of having a tattoo bearing her estranged husband's name removed.

The reality star, was seen leaving the re-enhance clinic today with a large white dressing on her back.

Kerry who split with Mark Croft last month, recently told MailOnline that the trendy marking, on her back, would be gone within weeks.

And true to her word, as she attempts to repair her shattered public image, Kerry has started the process to remove all traces of ex Croft from her damaged life.

The reality star is having the tattoo removed by laser treatment.

Laser surgery takes between three to 15 treatments, over the course of about six weeks, to remove all traces of a tattoo.

Last week a spokesman for the former Atomic Kitten star told MailOnline: ' I can confirm Kerry will be having her tattoo removed in the next few weeks through laser treatment.'

Kerry she will now join the likes of Peter Andre and Jessica Alba in getting the slate wiped clean.

Peter recently started having the removal treatment after getting his ex-wife Katie Price's name inked on his wedding finger.

Jordan settled for having a big cross crudely inked over her 'Pete' wrist tattoo during her post break-up trip to Ibiza last summer.

The mother-of-four dumped Mark last month after he accused her of cheating with her fitness instructor.

Since then she has shed even more weight following a rigorous bout at a fitness camp.
Yesterday she revealed the depth of her drug abuse for the first time in a tell-all interview.

Kerry's increasingly erratic behaviour - including her now notorious slurring appearance on This Morning in 2008 - had become to erode her status as the nation's sweetheart.

And it was finally blown away by pictures being published last year of the mother of four snorting cocaine in her bathroom losing her her £100,000 contract with Iceland.

In a candid interview with Fabulous magazine the former Atomic Kitten revealed the extent of her drug taking and said she had to take drastic action before her self-destructive lifestyle killed her.

She said: 'I hated my life. I'd lie in bed for three days in a row doing cocaine with Mark.

'We did coke in our en suite and had a lock on the door. The kids knew if the bathroom door was locked they mustn't come in.

'The children would be downstairs with a nanny and she knew not to let them up to our bedroom at those times.'

She confessed to long binges with husband Mark - and sometimes just by herself - and the less-than glamorous lifestyle the pair shared.

'Our relationship was just about coke. Mostly we'd have three-day sessions and not eat. I'd play online bingo, look up s*** stories about me to make me feel worse, and watch cartoons.

'Mark would be on his Xbox and we'd go in and out of the bathroom for lines. I'd take so much coke I'd have a fit, then I'd come round and do another line.

'I had to stop, I had to get out. If I carried on doing what I was doing, I'd be dead.'
