Fantasy Focus- Draft Day Bargains- Pitchers

1- Tim Hudson
The ace of the Braves is clearly Tim Hudson. Tommy Hanson is too young and Jair Jurrgens is to unproven. Hudson went 17-9 last year with a 2.83 era. He rankeed in the NL top 8 in wins, era, and whip. And despite all this his ADP is 140. Those being drafted ahead of him include Madison Bumgarner, Shaun Marcum and Daniel Hudson, all unproven commodities. Keep Hudson on radar come Draft Day, and expect 15plus wins and and ERA just over 3.00.

2- Ervin Santana
Ervin is another pitcher who had a great year, but is slipping under the radar in most drafts. Unlike Hudson, Santana is not the ace of his staff (Jared Weaver). But with numbers like 17 wins and 3.92 in 222 innings pitched, he could easily be the ace at the end of the year. 3 of the last 5 years, Santana has had at least 16 wins. And has a knack for performing on the big stage. He has and ADP of 206 currently, which means he is going somewhere between rounds 15-20

2- Brett Myers-
It seem like Myers has been around forever, but he will only turn 29 this season. And despite pitching for the lowly Astros, I expect Myers to build upon a good 2010 campaign. 14-8 with a 3.14 era was his best season since 2005. He even received votes for the NL cy young. He will entering his contract season in 2012 and theres no better motivation then pitching for your last big pay day. Keep expections in check, but I would expect 15 wins and 180ks should be within reach.

4- Jeremy Hellickson
If you don't know who this kid is, your probably not in a keeper league. Hellickson has been patiently waiting for his chance to pitch every 5th day in the big leagues for the last 2 years. And 2011 is his chance. He has dominated the minor leagues since being drafted in 2005. And he showed flashes of brilliance in his few spot starts last year, going 4-0 with 3.47 and 32 ks. In many leagues he is not being drafted until the 15th round. If you're going to take a flier on one young arm in this years draft make sure its Jeremy Hellickson.
