Globetrotter Angelina Jolie looks tired and drawn as she visits Syrian refugees in Turkey
By Daily Mail Reporter
Tired: Angelina Jolie appeared skinny and drawn as she travelled to Turkey's border with Syria today to meet some of the refugees
Angelina Jolie has a busy acting career, six children and an equally busy partner in the shape of Brad Pitt.
But she still finds time to globe-trot around the world in her capacity as a goodwill ambassador for the U.N.
However, her frequent travelling and unconventional lifestyle appear to be taking a toll on the 36-year-old who appeared skinny and gaunt as she arrived in Turkey today.
Burning the candle: The actress has been juggling work, six children, her partner Brad Pitt as well as being a U.N. Goodwill Ambassador
Loved: Jolie received a warm welcome and a banner near the entrance of the refugee camp read 'Goodness Angel of the World'
Wearing black trousers and a black T-shirt, the actress's face looked pale and drawn even though she tried to cover up with large dark glasses.
With her hair scraped back and minimal make-up, the A-Lister put a brave face on but looked like she would benefit from a few extra meals.
Jolie travelled to Turkey's border with Syria to meet some of the thousands of Syrian refugees who have fled their government's bloody crackdown on dissent.
She is an ambassador the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees and arrived in the Turkish province of Hatay on a private jet with boxes of toys for the refugee camps.
There are nearly 10,000 Syrian refugees in camps inside Turkey.
DHA television showed Jolie disembarking from the plane in sunglasses.
She rested at Hatay airport and then headed to a camp in the Turkish town of Altinozu, Turkish media reported.
Turkish authorities hoisted a 45-foot-long banner near the entrance of a refugee camp to welcome Jolie. It read: 'Goodness Angel of the World, Welcome' in English and Turkish.
Police kept fans away from the actress at Hatay's airport and cameras were removed from rooftops and high points to prevent video of the visit.
One fan held a poster that read: 'Angelina, kiss me for world peace.'
Authorities said Jolie's own crew would provide images of her meetings with refugees.
In April, Jolie travelled to Tunisia during its refugee crisis as thousands fled from its war-torn neighbour, Libya.
Jolie, her partner Brad Pitt, 47, and their six children have relocated to Malta while the actor films his new film World War Z.
Fancy dress: The mother-of-six took her brood, including daughter Vivienne and son Knox, to an indoor play park in Malta yesterday
On the move: The family are renting a $11million mansion in Malta while Brad films his new movie World War Z there
They are renting a $11million mansion in the Qrenxdi area of the island, according to Us Weekly magazine.
She was seen earlier this week shuffling her kids dressed in fancy dress while toting a Louis Vuitton handbag, the company she has recently becoming face of for their new campaign.
Two-year-old Knox wore a lady bird costume while his twin sister Vivienne work a pink princess outfit.
Maddox, nine, Pax, seven, Zahara, six, and Shiloh, five, also joined in the fun and were spotted leaving a store with toys in tow.

Barefoot and beautiful: Angelina Jolie poses for sultry new Louis Vuitton campaign aboard a boat
By Daily Mail Reporter
Wild outdoors: Angelina Jolie poses for a sultry new ad for Louis Vuitton photographed by Annie Leibovitz
She is regularly seen toting their exclusive bags and now Angelina Jolie has become the new face of luxury luggage designer Louis Vuitton.
The 35-year-old actress appears in a stunning new ad for the brand's 'Core Values' campaign in which she poses barefoot aboard a traditional wooden boat in Cambodia’s Siem Reap province in a photo taken by famed portrait photographer Annie Leibovitz.
Angelina poses in her own clothes, with no make-up on with her long dark hair worn au natural and wavy.
In the picture she holds onto her own years-old monogrammed Alto bag, a style which is no longer in production.
Cambodia is a country close to the star's heart as it's where she adopted nine-year-old Maddox, her eldest son, from as a baby.
'People are not used to seeing Angelina in this situation,' Louis Vuitton’s executive vice president Pietro Beccari tells Women's Wear Daily.
'I like the fact that it’s a real moment.'
'This travel message we give through personal journeys is a fundamental one for the brand. This campaign is about a very special person and a very special journey.'
Bono, Buzz Aldrin and Mikhail Gorbachev have all posed for the 'Core Values'
campaign in the past while Madonna, Jennifer Lopez and Scarlett Johansson have been previous faces of the brand.
In typical Angelina style she also donated a portion of her earning from the campaign to charity.
Just last week her partner, Brad Pit, 47, donated $500,000 to a charity that is helping to rebuild his tornado ravaged home state of Missouri.
Their generous contribution to The Community Foundation of the Ozarks will go toward bringing the Joplin area back to life, which was recently destroyed by deadly twisters.
Big brood: The mother of six moves her family around the globe depending on where she is working
