Appropriate: Amy Adams dresses conservatively as she waits on the set of The Muppet movie with comedian Jason Segel on Hollywood Boulevard today

Katy Perry take note - this is what you should be wearing whilst appearing on a children's show.

Amy Adams looked demure and conservative on the set of her new movie, The Greatest Muppets Movie Ever Made.

The 36-year-old actress was spotted filming scenes for the new Muppets film outside the famed Grauman's theatre on Hollywood Boulevard today.

Dressed in a bright yellow skirt and a red-and-white printed shirt paired with a vintage belt, Amy sported a very 50s style for the movie.

Her red hair hung loosely around her shoulders to complete the polished look.
The actress appeared relaxed on-set as she watched the crew prepare puppets for filming.

Amy's look is a far-cry from Katy Perry's sexy get-up on a recent episode of iconic children’s show Sesame Street.

The singer's appearance was cancelled after an outcry from concerned parents as her dress was deemed too revealing and racy.

The segment was axed when viewers saw a video of the appearance on the internet and started complaining about Katy's choice of low-cut dress which showed a little too much cleavage for some parents.

In comparison, Amy's outfit is more suitable for the children's programming.
Her appearance in the new puppet movie comes after months of speculation.

The new movie had been in the works for a while, and only recently got the green light after Forgetting Sarah Marshall actor, Jason Segel attached himself to the film.

He is producing the film in conjunction with Get Him to the Greek writer, Nick Stroller.

The movie is due out for Christmas next year.
