George Washington Alum honored for donating money at Halftime, Is ejected in 2nd half for heckling
GW Hatchet – From his sideline seat on the court, Robert Kasmir yelled at the referee over a foul call on sophomore forward David Pellom, prompting his removal from the court by a member of the athletics department. “Basically, I told the ref he was the worst ref I’d ever seen and he wasn’t worth the $1,600 dollars they were paying him and that was it,” Kasmir said. “And then he ejected me from the game.” Kasmir’s ejection came after he and his family were honored during the second half for their contributions to GW Athletics.Kasmir said the ejection would not keep him from making further donations to the University in the future... “He did get a bigger ovation when he was thrown out than when he was on the court for his donation,” Chernak said.
Of course the guy got a bigger ovation after getting ejected. Any asshole with money can make a donation, but it takes a real man to be a decorated heckler.
You really haven't lived until you've berated another grown man over a meaningless sporting event. It just feels good to verbally undress a referee in front of thousands of people. Scolding these men for their lackluster, on-court performances at their minimum wage jobs is one of the few joys left in this world.
