Miami coach Erik Spoelstra said some players were moved to tears in the Heat locker room. This much is clear: He and the Heat are hurting.
"This is painful for every single one of us to go through this, there are couple of guys crying in the locker room right now, it is not a matter of want," Spoelstra said.
As his comment lit up with reactions as it hit ESPN's SportsCenter and Twitter, Heat players recognize they're wearing a target on their backs. And again must get used to the constant reminders they're playing with a big bull's-eye on their jerseys all season.
The Heat are 14-17 vs teams with a .500 winning percentage or better. D Wade and Lebron are a combined 1-18 on last second, game winning or tying shots this year, after BOTH missing shots yesterday. Meanwhile, the Bulls are coming off an excellent road trip and now sit in second place in the East.
Derrick Rose may have just sealed the MVP with these last two games. And Luol Deng may be the Most Improved Player of the year. He has stepped up big time this year and deserves a lot of praise.
PS- I hope the Celtics realize we aren't happy with a 2 seed. Objects in mirror are closer than they appear.
