Snug as a bug: Nicole Kidman gets a helping hand from a friend as they strap her daughter in tight and make for the hills of Maui
A day out exploring the great outdoors is exciting enough for any child.
Take Nicole Kidman's daughter Sunday Rose for example, who was treated to a day out hiking through the beautiful hilly landscape of the Hawaiian island of Maui yesterday.
However, while most kids would take the opportunity to run around to their hearts content, their parents more than happy to let them wear themselves out, little Sunday didn't even get her shoes dirty.
She was strapped in tightly to a carrier on her actress mother's back as she and Nicole joined a group of friends for a leisurely hike last weekend.
And only being 22-months it was no surprise that she was carried around as her little legs would have soon become tired.
Protected from the scorching sun in a hat and long pink trousers, Sunday kept her head down as she looked at the ground while her mother determinedly walked on.
Determined: Nicole puts her best foot forward as she hikes through the mountains
A few days later, Nicole took some probably much-needed 'me time' as she went for a jog on her own near where she was staying on the island.
Nicole is currently staying on the island shooting her upcoming film Just Go With It alongside Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler.
Her role in the film is unclear though, with some sources saying it would only be a cameo.
Keeping fit: Nicole goes for a an early morning run by herself last week
Despite the smallness of the role, the film's location of Hawaii would be a draw for Nicole who was born on the U.S. island before her parents brought her back to Australia when she was four years old.
Just Go With It stars Adam Sandler as a commitment-phone plastic surgeon, who lies to his much younger girlfriend Beverly (played by Andy Roddick's wife Brooklyn Decker) that he's married with children.
He enlists the help of Jennifer's single mother character to pretend to be his 'estranged wife'.
