Jump like an Egyptian... Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore visit the Great Pyramids

Hopping around: Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore lark around in front of the Great Pyramids of Giza in Egypt

They flew to Egypt on business, but it looks like Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore have made sure they have plenty of time to see the country's amazing sights.

After attending a conference in Luxor last weekend, the famous couple travelled north to Cairo to visit the Great Pyramids of Giza.

Showing their funny side, the couple leaped in the air for a photo in front of the ancient wonders of the world, which they posted on their Twitter pages.

While Demi, 48, looked like a regular tourist in her jumper and jeans, her 32-year-old husband embraced the local dress in a hooded dishdasha and matching trousers.

The couple arrived in Egypt last week to attend the End Human Trafficking Now international forum.

They attended the two-day conference in the southern city of Luxor - near the Valley Of The Kings and Valley Of The Queens - before heading north to Cairo.

The cause is close to the couple's heart after they set up their own charitable foundation DNA, which aims to bring an end to sex slavery.

The couple's trip comes after Kutcher defended their regular Tweeting of affection to each other on the micro-blogging site.

He told Harper's Bazaar magazine: 'He said: ‘Sending sweet nothings on Twitter or Facebook is also fun. In some ways, it’s no different than sending flowers to the office – you are declaring your love for all to see. Who doesn’t like to be publicly adored?’

But he warned it was important to be cautious about what you post.

Kutcher, who titled his essay Has Texting Killed Romance?, said: ‘Just remember that what you post is out there – and there’s some stuff you can’t unsee.’

The couple celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary together in October.
